No problem other than not being able to pay the bill for a couple of weeks (which actually is not a problem at all). I think some of the On Demand content had issues, but I never use them anyways so I had no issues at all.

Depends on the device. Older devices don't support HD voice, also known as VoLTE (Voice over LTE), which is voice over the data network- in that case you can't do both. With newer devices that do support it, you can do both voice and data at the same time.

After dealing with customer dis-service, appalled by how the treat deploying military (my son with all 4 of his foreign tours) we have had it with Verizon. When the contract is up so are they.

What phone do you have? I can surf the web and talk at the same time with Verizon.

Verizon's 4g lte network will let you talk and surf the web at the same time as long as you done use an iPhone. I am on my 4th lte phone with Verizon and all but the iPhone would do both at once. The customer service could improve with Verizon, but the phone coverage is tough to beat.

I've had AT&T for about six years and my dad had vzw for about the same time. The quality was equal but the service was entirely different.

Some scumbag stole my dad's id through vzw.com 2 weeks before Xmas and decided to debit his account to buy two iPhones in Michigan. Vzw didn't catch that fraud. My dad always paid by check in branch stores but vzw allowed the scum some way of taking his old check information and direct ach his pension account. They took 5 months after we notified them to realize it as fraud, they even sent it to collection after we reversed the bank transfer. The last important thing my dad did the day before he died in January was hobble into the local vzw store with his walker to cancel his account, figuring that my calls to csr in December fixed it.

It took a completed police report, death certificate and 6 hours in 5 separate phone calls bouncing around helpless reps to fix it. They even wanted me to get a power of attorney just to walk through my Dad's closed account. They kept bouncing me around their fraud, csr, and finance departments with 33 min waiting on hold each time.

I also had a fraudulent phone bought through AT&T ironically going to Michigan. I contacted AT&T & that day they fixed it, recalled the package in transit and later gave me and my wife 4gbs for the trouble. I'm never recommending vzw because all of their phone reps aren't empowered to help solve problems just sell stuff.

So long story short, I'm emotionally invested in never using Verizon services.

Over the years, I've had AT&T, Sprint, Nextel, t-Mobile, Lycamobile, and Verizon. Verizon has the best coverage by far.

I have Verizon for personal, and ATT for work. Around town, they are about equal. In the boonies, Verizon is noticeably better. But occasionally, you'll find an area where ATT has reception and Verizon does not.

Now TMobile on the other hand, haha. Who the hell would spend their hard earned money on that junk? I used to try to call my wife's tmobile phone in Downtown LA during rush hour, and all I'll get for 5-10 calls is, "All circuits are busy...."

Interesting info, shame they use different signalling methods on Att and Verizon so switching around is not transparent....

All depends actually. If you have a newer phone, request to have HD Voice enabled, then you can do simultaneous voice and data on the iphones as well. The older android devices used a dual radio setup which is why they could browse and talk at the same time on Verizon (One for CDMA/Voice, the other for LTE Data). The iPhones have stayed with a single radio, so until you use the HD Voice (Voice over LTE) you were unable to talk and browse at the same time unless you were connected to wifi.
