AR-15.com says I need an "ISP address" on my email.

    There is the conversation.....
    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

You have to use an ISP address, not a free "anonymous" one that anyone can go and get a dozen accounts without any ties to your ISP

    To: accounts@ar15.com
Subject: says Netzero and Gmail not allowed.

    what email servers are allowed?

    please don't say AOL.

Do I need to get my own server, like Hillary? lol.

    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

OK, so how does a barely computer literate noob such as myself easily get one?

Right now I'm on a shared WiFi from Landlord, but I do have a Note3 of my own I use for backup, and I've plenty of unused data gigs.

Is AR-15.com exclusive to those with their own hardware for "ISP address" emails?

I don't know why it would matter. For what purpose would they want to be able to identify you, or tie you to your ISP? Maybe they are working with Big Brother.

If you have an I Phone, you can get a .ME address that will work...

Your ISP will give you a free Email address... Who provides your home internet service.....

I think that AT&T and Verizon both offer free emails....

once set up with ARF, you can change to a normal email

The SPAM that shows up on cal guns would be reduced with the same policy.... but it would also limit the membership
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
        (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

Too much effort to join a web site.
California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.

            thats what I'm thinking.

I could see if it was something Gunbroker or other heavy retail operation, or "FFLs Only" or "doctors only".

              their site, their rules.

they don't people to be able to create a free email account nad then set up a login on AR15.com, spam, get banned, create another free email acount, set up another AR15.com account, spam, get banned, rinse, repeat.

most of the spammers that sign up here are on gmail or yahoo accounts. if you can't just spin up a new email address on a whim, makes it harder to spam.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

ar15 is a weak website that caters to paying members and they hate Ca

dont waste any time putting money in there pockets
use an ad blocker for that site and just browse it if needed
there are specific blockers just for that site so half the screen isnt taken up by ads

I haven't used an ISP email in probably 15-years. I've changed ISP's a couple times during those years and it is nice to not have to try to get everyone to update my contact info.
