          New build or old pm that just started acting up? Are you sure just the mouse froze and not the entire pc?

          Is the pc overheating? Try a different video card also. My current build would randomly freeze. Turned out to be a defective video card.

              Did you test it in Safe Mode?

              Try disconnecting everything that isn't absolutely required to run, to see if there's a hardware conflict. After it's stripped down, restart to test.

                Are you sure it's just a mouse issue? A lot of slower PC's take forever for USB devices to enumerate.


                If you plug on a memory stick/thumb drive does it take a long time also? Life is too short to run down problems like this. Buy a new machine.
