    New PC question

Thinking about upgrading my CCTV computer. I keep getting BSOD and now it will not go past POST. I think I know what the problem is but now Im thinking of just getting a new computer. Anyone know about the Intel NUC computer(link below)? If not that, do you guys have a suggestion? It needs to be about that size. It will need to run my Geiger counter software, 2 networked cameras and 1 4ch network video server. I will also be adding more networked cameras in the future.

memorabilia collectibles clothing "computer accessories" Fry's "Fry's Electronics" frys.com Arena Football League AFL San Jose Sabercats Football Team "San Jose Sabercats" "Sabercats Football" "The San Jose Sabercats" thesanjosesabercats.com "Charley Chip"

Normally Id just build a new computer like I have always done in the past but this computer is small and will allow me to hide it better. There are not too many places to hide a VCR sized computer in my room, lol.

I built a NUC for the Rancho FD. It was cute. Tiny, little square (your link does not show the product for me BTW) and came with winblows 8- Oh, I had to install that I mean.

I agree that they are really cool. I think you can certainly have fun with them, The best part of it that I was entertained by was that when you open the box they have a little photocell and noise maker that plays the Intel song. I removed it and put it to the underside of my people feeder lid so when someone came by to take some candy, they tripped the Intel song. It was funny to watch people try to get candy and be stealthy about it. LoL.

But no seriously, they are pretty cool little guys for their size. You will need a mini card SSD or something and some RAM I think and you are good to go. It helps to have an external DVDR drive to install software until you get it up and online.
7 Billion people on the planet. They aint ALL gonna astronauts. Some will get hit by trains...

Need GOOD SS pins to clean your brass? Try the new and improved model...

And remember- 99.9% of the lawyers ruin it for the other .1%...

Thanks for the reply guys. I have a 750gb HD from my laptop that I will be using. If the price is right, I may also get a SSD card for it. Going to continue to use Windows 7.

Good call of the external DVD drive. I will definitely need it. Going to also need a HDMI to DVI converter too. Im not sure why my link did not work but on the frys.com site, search for 8378307 and it will show up.
