hatred game launches Monday

so the most controversial game of 2015 is going to be released Monday. i bet that the game would never see the light of day but i guess i was wrong. Hatred is a third person shooter that reminds be of a mix between postal 2 and a twin stick shooter. you play as a no name psychopath that goes on a killing spree. the game became controversial because you kill unarmed civilians. doing executions grants you additional health, after you start killing people cops respond and start shooting back. steam pulled it, but then apologized and said the game would be sold. GOG refuses to sell it, AO games are not sold in stores and twitch changed their policy about streaming AO rated games days before hatred launches. watch the news Monday because the game is a anti gunner/ anti gamer's wet dream. crazy white male killing unarmed civilians, the media will have a field day.

anyway, the developer screwed up the pre order early downloads (made promises before checking if it was possible) they released a classy apology explaining their mistake and saying they would find someway to make it right with those who pre ordered.

Sometimes a game comes out or a thing comes out and just BECAUSE it is what it is, you gotta support it. It may very well be a sublt POLL to let the rest of us know that there are a lot of people that want to run around and shoot things sometimes just to get frustrations out. Postal 1 had EVERYTHING to do with that. I mean, you start the scenario of one level in a K-mart with the blue light special going on. Another level starts you right at the front of a parade and hey, all of a sudden you have molotov cocktails for some reason. Some things are just there for you to just do it.


I think it looks cool. Actually, it just looks like an updated postal except that postal got really corny in the second one and the thing I hated about Postal 2 was that unless you actually shot someone in the head with the first shot of the ARF, you had to use about 11 shots to put them down even if the rest were head shots.

But, Who could forget the cats being used as silencers? Now THAT was classic. If you chose to USE a cat with the ARF out he pulled out a cat from his jacket (you have to collect them ahead of time) and jammed the gun up its butt and it became a suppressed firearm with the last round shooting the cat out as a flying meat missle that sprayed entrails out its butt...

That was such a messed up game. It even had Gary Coleman at a book signing at the local plaza who goes insane and starts shooting up the place... LMAO... The graphics look better here. If there is an ongoing line of jokes in this game, then it is nothing more than Postal 3...

But seriously, games like this are just made and produced most likely to see if anyone else identifies with them and then to give people a break from their life and allow them to just have fun. It is a game so lighten up...

Besides, I heard DLC will include a Balitmore protest and LA riots...

i am still here, just had other stuff to do. the game is not easy. if you want a casual shooter this is not it. health does not regenerate, you need to get executions to get health back, getting executions requires downing a target without killing them. so gun choice matters and you cannot take much damage. a group of cops or armed civilians will kill you, a few SWAT or soldiers will kill you real quick. SWAT and soldiers carry full auto weapons that do real damage, they have armor and they are hyper aggressive, once they see you they will surround and kill you. continues have to be earned through completing side objectives (shoot up a party, shoot up a hotel, hunt hunters blow up a gas station.....) if you have no continues, you have to restart the level if you die. shotguns are good but reload slow, full auto rifles/SMG's are great for dealing with SWAT but ammo is rare and handguns are great for unarmed targets. civilians will pick up guns and defend themselves, but they don't do a good job. they stand in one place and don't really know how to use the gun or they will run away and not shoot at all. some civilians have CCW guns but again, they don't do a good job. on the mini map civilians are small red dots and anyone armed are larger dots with a circle around them. individual armed civilians are not a problem, armed officers/SWAT/soldiers are a big problem and will kill you if you are not careful or go at them with the wrong gun/low ammo.

the biggest problem with the game is the camera. because most colors are black and white it is extremely hard to see armed targets. they can shoot you before you see them and they can start flanking you before you have a chance to react. taking on a few armed targets requires planning, the right ammo, and a good solid wall preventing them from getting behind you.

Who would have thought that they would have made a game like this, HARD.

Hmmm, maybe it is a recruitment game for an ISIS cell? They are tired of getting noobs, they want someone who knows how to deal with people on the battlefield and in the city streets. You watch, I bet if you complete the game or score REALLY high or get REALLY far then I can predict either a Toyota Hilux or a Rylon Starfighter to be parked in your driveway that night. This game gets boring and repetitive fast. Played it for 2 hours then done for good.

Watched the trailer... seems like one of those things where they do shock value just for shock value w/o and real substance. Something that would be repetitive within 30 min.

If they wanted to do a lookatme3edgy5u game like this they should have gone with something like isis simulator 2015 - at least they'd get a lot more (probably negative) press + attention from the isis name. That and it'd probably have a lot more to it.

There is already a game like this out now that I think of it and it is called free play on ANY of the GTA platforms right after GTA 4.

I swear that I had a CCW pull on me in GTA4 outside of my apartment when I was gakking that one ho for getting near my f@ggio. (it is a vespa scooter)

But now that I think of it, this game is like that portion of GTA except it has zoomed in on free style killing. Of course I am not in a place to really comment since I have not yet played it.

Played it last night... uhm.. it sucks. No real point to the game as far as I can tell so far.
