    Shopping online with smart phone

I am not to savvy tech/computer wise. Is it safe to use my windows base smart phone to buy stuff online. My kid downloads a few games out of Russia, so I do not trust my PC desktop. I know not to use public wi-fi. Thanks

Verify the addy starts with https (not http) when doing your search and before entering any CC's. Only buy from reputable (known big name) sites you have heard of, for starters...

eBay is pretty good, some people will try to scam you with bad descriptions, but you only get hit with a return shipping fee that way, max. Paypal is safer if you can use it, as they don't have your CC number, they just get paid, and the prices on eBay's buy it now will usually tell you the going rates of things, with minimal markup. Look for NIB, or NEW when shopping on eBay.

Use their app, like ebay or amazon to be a little more safe. I never use wifi when I buy something.

The better answer is don't let your kid have admin access to your desktop PC if it's your only computer at home. If you're implying he's downloading pirated material, THEN STOP HIM. It's not his name on the bill if your ISP wants to know who's violating copyrights.

I do about 90% of my shopping online.

I mean I DID until my computer went overboard on a tragic boating accident...

What games are these coming out of Russia? They could be totally legit like POE or something. I find it odd to describe a bunch of games like that. TPB is not in Russia, but anyways...

The wired networks have more power to do things then the wifi networks. I would at least make sure that your desktop PC is clean and not infected with anything if you are gonna go that route. If someone get's access to that they can do a lot if they have the right scripts or know how...
