Maybe with some things, but not phones! I just want my phone to . . . be a phone!

I've been using Apple products since the 1980s and generally been quite happy with them. I don't care that I could pay less and get more performance from product X. That debate existed in the 1980s. Keep in mind that in 1989 I paid $3500 for an SE-30, dot matrix printer, and some software. Everyone teased me about how much more I paid. Then, when it came time to actually do work, it was easy unlike those who had PCs of the time.

              iOS.
I am currently trying out Android and am quite frustrated with the number of times I have to kill apps and re-start.
(to be fair, I'm trying this out on a tablet - Acer Iconia tab 8 on Kit-kat - and at this point I don't think I can make the jump for my phone)

If you want to root and tinker with it, Android is easier, but if you want trouble-free, IMHO, iOS is a far better choice.

There are distinct advantages to owning both the hardware and software (Apple) and it shows.

                  kit-kat? that's way old.

Apple does hold app makers to a higher standard than Google does (if they even do..) but the solution is to not install any crap apps.

I use a higher end provider that doesn't carry either of those phones.

I guess that the debate will all have to hinge upon which user needed the biggest surgery or the most stitches?
