So about the new Samsung Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge...

...no microSD, no replaceable battery, extra "build quality" that I don't need because my phone gets tossed in a protective case.

I held off upgrading my S3 because I wanted to see what was going to be next. Now I know.

So, is anyone looking forward to buying this thing? The "edge" is a little gimmicky, but maybe some will find that useful?

I stayed away from Apple and went with Samsung Android because you can't replace a battery in the iPhone. What are they thinking?

I couldn't believe they would remove the sd slot. That is a really stupid move.

heck, they remove the battery cover and the SD slot, it should now be easier to make it waterproof, but they toss out that feature as well, WTF

One of the biggest features of why I continue to use Samsung. External removable battery, and removable SD card. Why they wouldn't continue to use that is beyond me.

IMO Samsung has read the situation completely wrong. People don't buy iphones because of the features (or lack there of) they buy them because that is what Apple sells. If apple had a different version with the SD card slot and removable battery I bet you a ton of people would buy it.

Who knows, maybe we are all idiots and that is what people want. I would bet that even after the S6 comes out the S5 will be a popular choice, I personally think the S5 is a really nice phone. I don't care about plastic, its a good material and if finished properly can feel premium.

iCrap and Samsung. iCrap is cheap Chinese crap. Samsung has played itself out. I went to a Sony when I needed a new phone.

No SD card is a killer for me unless they are packing in 64Gigs. Replaceable batts are nice in theory but they charge so quickly and sip so lightly I don't have an issue like I did in the past warranting extra batts.

People constantly pissed and moaned about the "cheap" plastic rear plate on the galaxy and how the apple phones felt like they were built better. Yet that's what allowed you to swap the battery and memory card.

Of course if they were going to seal it up to please the "I don't want to buy an iphone because it's an apple product, I wish samsung made something just like the iphone" crowd, I don't understand why in the hell they decided to ditch the waterproof.

It said they'll start with a 32GB version, so I'm sure there will be a 64GB and probably a 128GB that costs a ridiculous amount of money compared to just inserting an SD card for the capacity difference.

I was wondering what Samsung was going to come up with for the S6 since my S4 is feeling a bit "old"(well, not really. Still makes calls and browses the internet just fine), well they just lost a customer for sure. Unfortunately I bet they won't learn anything, because the people that bought the Galaxy S series and switch will be replaced by the people who wanted a "iphone but not made by apple".

I was all about the SD card slot until I bit the bullet and got the moto x in 2013. If I didn't have unlimited data, I definitely wouldn't have done it. I subscribe to a streaming music service and it makes things a whole lot easier.

I don't watch movies on my phone so that's a non issue. I'm surprised I've made due with 16 gigs (8 in reality) for so long.

All the phones I had with a removable battery had dismal performance. The s3 was decent though. With that said, not sad to see the Galaxy do away with it. These phones have quick charge now, so it's not like it used to be. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I could make my crappy battery life thunderbolt last through the day. I never did the multiple battery thing.

                        S6 looks nice.

Even though there are reports that the S6 will pack up to 128GB (32, 64 or 128GB configurations in some countries) of storage I'll pass. What I want is 64GB+ of built-in storage for apps and app data and the option to add a 128GB+ MicroSD card for my music and audiobooks, and a removable/user replaceable battery. I also care a whole lot less about ultra thin designs than I do about extended battery life.

Samsung introduced the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge in storage variations of 32, 64 and 128GB, with the flash memory based on the vendor's latest UFS 2.0-based storage modules. While the Galaxy S6

The replaceable battery just extends the life of the device, when the original battery starts fading after a few years you can buy a new one and have like new battery performance again.

Dumb s6! They are predicting higher profits for the ROM options. I've had an s3 and currently on a S4. This will be my last "S" series. Not even happy enough to support their note 4. Definitely don't want an apple product.
