Riflegear!! What a difference two months make

Purchased a WASR from Riflegear this morning. Got there 10 minutes before opening, only two people ahead of me. I was done in 24 minutes and that included 10 minutes for installing a mag lock before showing me the rifle.

They had plenty of staff when the store opened, not sure how it was later in the day.

Yea their new facility is legit.

Finally they have a shop to support and show off and it matches their level of business ethics. Clean, classy, modern and done right.

You could always get out of RG fairly quickly if you get there before they open and can see someone immediately. It's the 1-2 hour lines later in the day people don't like.

I'm cool with a lot of the people there.

I walked in the other day right at lunch, and it was pretty busy. I pulled #58 and the counter was at 42. I was preparing for a 1-2 hour wait, then I saw one of the guys I know, and he says, "Hey man, good to see you. What are you up to?" I tell him I'm in for a long gun pickup, and he says, "Right after my current customer, I'll take care of you ASAP."

So what could have ended up being a 2 hour wait got cut down to 20 min tops including all the paperwork and me checking out some parts and ammo. RifleGear is the best. I am glad to give them my business.

That was nice of them to help you first but I'd of been kind of unhappy if I had gotten there before you and they let you jump the line. I don't do a lot of business in RG type shops but I've noticed when I do since end of SSE it has been quite slow as I predicted. Maybe things will pick up as tax time refunds come in or maybe not. No panics or anything driving sales right now I see tough times ahead for some FFL's.

There are many great shops in SoCal who are built on knowledge and customer service. As we return to "normal," those shops will be just fine. The shops that chase whatever the most recent craze is (SSE most recently, black rifles the year before that) will have a harder time. That's not a dig on SSE shops - I am so very thankful to every person who did what they could to get as many handguns into the state before the curtain closed. It's just not a sustainable model upon which to build a business.

Sorry but that's a douche move on both sides. Everyone else's money is just as good as yours plus you added 20 minutes onto someone else's wait. Remember this when you're in line at the grocery store or post office or bank and someone sneaks ahead of you because "I'm cool with a lot of the people there."

                      Rifle Gear Shmifle Gear.

If it still has people camping outside waiting for their number to come up like the god damned DMV ill continue to NOT go there. THe first and last time i went there it was a ZOO! only reason I went there in the first place is they had something in stock that wasnt even available online. I guess its okay to just pick up that 1 item and get the hell out of there. But if your looking to check stuff out get your hands on anything or heaven forbid ask about a product you're **** outa luck.

I prefer one on one gun shops where you get to talk to people and get reliable info from actual gunsmiths that really know what they are talking about. Not some Intern looking kid that doesn't have a clue what he's selling to you.

The shop didn't even look like a gun shop. nothing on the walls, hardly anything in the cases. Not like you could look at any of it because all of the people overflowing the building waiting for their cold cuts.

Slapping an upper onto a lower is not "building" an AR-15.

What part of "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" do you illiterate pawns not understand!?

I'm guessing you went when it was the height of the panic and basic ARs were selling for $1500 in the marketplace for frankenbuilds. I'm guessing you also went when Riflegear was this small:

lol ok. Sorry you're so angry and no one wants to be your friend. Learn to talk with people with respect once in a while and you might get somewhere in life instead of waiting in line with all the other anti social people for 2 hours.

Actually you want guys like me to go first. When I go to a shop I'm all business and I know what I want. What you don't want is all the guys hemming and hawing about buying a gen 3 Glock or a Sig or maybe... a 1911 for 45 minutes. That's what makes the wait times so long, not guys like me picking up and getting out.
