So you don't mind when people cut in front of you in line at places where the help knows the guy they let in? Is this typical of RG? Or are you special or? If we are going by just money spent on guns I suppose I should be in front of 98-99% of CGN but I usually don't feel I have special entitlements.

I have admit and agree with you that people window shopping and hemming and hawing about a purchase should take a back seat to people that are ready to do business and spend money. Maybe shops should have a special line for that.

Nope. If I'm going to hem and haw and don't know wtf I'm there for and chit chat for 45 minutes about gun comparing then I deserve to get people let in front of me who know what they want and are ready to buy. Imagine if you did that at a restaurant and kept a waiter standing there for 45 minutes while you decided to hem and haw about your order. Better to let him go help someone else.

Fortunately I only go to the gun shop 99% of the time to buy something I've pre-researched for weeks before hand. The other 1% I'll go and chit chat with my Riflegear buddies near closing time, after work when there's 1-2 people left in the shop.

Also it's always been a riflegear policy to try and get long gun pick ups first even if those guys aren't first in the line queue. It's faster and gets people in and out. If you are a regular sometimes you will hear their sales people say "anyone here for a long gun pickup??!!" Sometimes it takes 30-60 minutes (or more) for them to ask or sometimes you get lucky like me and have a buddy spot you at the shop and save you from a long wait.

I was preparing for a 1-2 hour wait, then I saw one of the guys I know, and he says, "Hey man, good to see you. What are you up to?" That was nice of them to help you first but I'd of been kind of unhappy if I had gotten there before you and they let you jump the line.
Sorry but that's a douche move on both sides. Everyone else's money is just as good as yours plus you added 20 minutes onto someone else's wait. Remember this when you're in line at the grocery store or post office or bank and someone sneaks ahead of you because "I'm cool with a lot of the people there."

I went a few months ago and the shop was packed. A worker was calling out for pickups. I came forward, picked up my purchase and left in short order. I'm not even cool with anybody there.

They definitely are in the business of selling guns. They recognize the importance of customer service. Kudos to them.

Those who don't know better are getting the shaft at Turners and other gun stores.

Meh mom n pop gun stores still exist, with superior service i might add as well. Plus no waiting. and no numbers......Never go to turners but I like turners more than rifle gear even, at least they have a storefront worth going to. can pick up other outdoor stuff there too. and you don't have to make it like a smash n grab suicide mission to just get in and get out of the place with your items.

And no i didn't go to rifle gear during the main craze. it was long gone when I decided to try n' go there.

I just feel bad for everyone that has to deal with that place regularly. The kind of customer service i get at my prefered gun shops makes rifle gear look like wal-mart.

I havent been to the new front but if its still anything like the old riflegear no thank you.

I have never found RG to meet any of my needs that couldn't be satisfied better at other shops. Not totally their fault as they don't stock the guns I am mostly focused on. Kind of like Ammo Bros, I have had no issues there but they don't stock enough of the guns I am interested in.

I do make an occasional purchase from AB though.

So what could have ended up being a 2 hour wait got cut down to 20 min tops including all the paperwork and me checking out some parts and ammo. RifleGear is the best. I am glad to give them my business.

^This is correct. Our express line calls out small parts, then long gun pickups, then handgun pickups, etc. Often, employees will call express line as soon as they finish up with a customer before calling another number. We don't let people jump ahead in line just because we recognize them.

Finally they have a shop to support and show off and it matches their level of business ethics. Clean, classy, modern and done right.
I like the new layout they have. it's hard to go there and not spend a ton of money. so sadly I avoid going there for that purpose. LOL.

the times I have been there the service and attitude is top notch.

I've seen people come into RifleGear and literally do a 30 gun PPT. I have also seen other gun stores turn away a 2 gun PPT because it would take "too much time". Maybe they are so busy lately because of all the people dealing firearms without a license. Gotta make that off roster $$!

Serious question..what are the names of your preferred gun shops? I have been more than pleased with Riflegear's service and if there is a store that makes them look like Walmart...well, I gotta check them out.

Lots of great shops in the area.. OC Firearms is very near and great to deal with.. also helped lower RG prices a bit on Glocks

OC Armory is good to, although not "that" close..

Jury is still out on the new BIG SHOT on Euclid, but I've gotten great service there so far.. gun selection is lacking though (cause they are new?)

Nothing wrong with Riflegear, but lots of choices in the area. RG has the NICEST lobby by a million miles, and a great selection of long guns.. one of the best I would argue of "guns in stock"

Well, I am also a loyal customer to OC Firearms and OC Armory! Steve and Mike are good people. These three shops provide great customer service, IMO. I would like to see the shop that makes them look like Walmart. I dunno, maybe Mauser gets a hummer with each visit at his preferred gun shop?

Yup, +1 on OC Armory and OC Firearms. RG is still my go to option but I will spend money at OC Firearms if they have a gun not stocked at RG.
