I have a SF 6P with pigtail switch and a Knights Armorment mount that has worked great. Light was $40, switch $15 and mount was $20 (10 years ago). I have used the hell out of it, dropped my rifle multiple times and it still turns on every time. SF is the way to go.

What is it that you don't like about LED's for weapon lights?

I don't like that "fake" kind of light they put out. I know they're brighter and more durable in the long run, but that awful bluish light that they seem to emit is horrible. I like the incandescent lights because when you get one that burns really hot, they're very bright and seem to have a more natural light. Go use a really bright LED light in a house, then shine a bright incandescent light, and I feel that I can personally see a LOT better with the incandescent light in comparison. I'm not sure why, but thats what my eyes like better.

Cool - not trying to argue with you, just wanted to understand your objection in case your concerns were something that I should also take into account. I agree that colors seem off when viewed in LED light but from my perspective that's not such a big deal in a weapon light, I just want to know what I might be shooting at. If I were gonna paint a portrait of a guy breaking into my house, well, that would be a different matter.
