Input on fair offer for two guns

You having a bad day ? need a hug ?Get a clue! They are not trying to rip you off. They are trying to make a living. If you want to sell your guns fast to a shop, you will take what you are offered. If you want to spend the time to market and sell them yourself, you will get more for them. If the shop really wanted those guns, they would have already ordered them. But, you walked in and asked them what they would give you for something that they may or may not be able to move quickly. It's up to you and your potential buyer to come to an agreement on what they are worth for you to part with them and for the buyer to get them. Personally, I don't want either one so, I'd offer you about the same that the shop offered. However, I've also been known to pay more than MSRP on a used gun that I really wanted. Why is this concept so hard for many people to understand?

If you post those two guns in the "for sales forum on calgun" with the prices you were asking at the shop, You will sell them in less than a day.
Retail store has to buy, sit on them, and make a profit. Not a good place to sell you gun. Just the same as you do not take your car to sell it to a car dealer. Same game.

Stores do tend to bend people over but they do need to turn a profit. You sell quick you tend to lose. I'd be more than happy to give you $650 for that 500 if you were local. Do yourself a favor sell them privately or consign them never sell outright to a pawn or gun shop.Comment
