The cost is not a big deal if the gun is made to exacting standards of the originals.
However, while the ammo is still available, I am reluctant to add yet another need for obscure ammo to my shopping list. At the same time, I can not think of any other cartridge to chamber it in that would not then lose its luster. Chambering it in a common pistol round or even something like 5.7X28mm would be sacrilege.-----------------------------------------------

Prvi Partizan has been making 7.92x33mm since the mid-1940s.
They haven't stopped making it since then.
During the Cold War they were making it to supply all the German surplus STG-44 that were given away to socialist rebel groups during the 1950s-1960s.sigpic
