When TGG came home to work and raise families and were in political power, our country was respected and the American standard of living and way of living were the best and the highest in the world. The believed in the country and Constitution of the United States- faught, died and killed for it. To enable other Americans, future generations of Americans to live under its protection.

Period.

If the men who faught WWII were young and strong- American would not have- no way in hell- went down the leftist rabbit hole we crawled into during the last 6 years.

Period.

IMO they tried to did teach and raise their children well, but had the media the education system, the entertainment industry etc etc et al. to contend with.

Hats off for them.

I guess I'm between "The Greatest Generation" and the baby boomers, being born the year before WWll started.

So I take offence to some of the posts in this thread!

You're the silent generation. Mostly with the same traits as the Great Generation.

They won a war, and usherd in an era of unmatched prosperity and innovation, and for that they have my respect.

They also raised a generation of self entitled spoiled A-holes that are ruining the country. For that they have my scorn.

WW2 was to liberate Poland from foreign occupation (FDR had brought USA into defacto war with Germany long before Pearl Harbor). It ended with many more nations under far worse foreign occupation.

After the distraction of WW2 ended for TGG, TGG utterly failed to correct the terrible wrongs of FDR's massive assplosion of Fed Govt size and power. In fact, they turned out to be some of the easiest to herd sheepeople in history. IMO, much of the easy herding came from TGG being so eager to take flattery to heart.

PS-Most real economists will tell you the Depression didn't end for Americans until a few years after WW2. Americans in WW2 working long hours and unable to buy basic consumer products, putting education on hold, etc isn't a end of a Depression, and that FDR's policies all extended the Depression.

It turns out a lot of calguns is not much different then the liberal media.
They like to but labels on things, and judge a group of people as a whole instead of individually.

Original post was meant to honor the man shown in the video and others like him, both before and after his generation, who have put their lives on the line and served their country.

EVERY generation produces their share of honorable, brave and contributing individuals as well as their share of people that can only be classified as wastes of skin.
