Can you guys help me group better?

I'd like some tips from the pros if at all possible.

I'm trying to get all 15 rounds at least touching the red at 15 yards. I am firing one bullet per second. I think after my first 7 shots I started anticipating the recoil and that is why my group went low and to the left. The flyer may be a flyer, or I pulled the trigger too fast. I am using cast reloads. Running at 1100fps (124 grain)

I also shoot with my finger joint touching the trigger, not sure if that's correct. Any help would be great, thanks!

Also, would a Burris fastfire help? I really like the idea of having a red dot on a pistol. Worked great for a ruger mk II

Go take a pistol class and practice more. No one can critique and help improve your form over the internet, and any advice wont apply to your specific needs.

    Btw, good shooting.

This is sound advice. Your local range probably has some classes available, or maybe try to get an hour of private instruction with the instructor.

      BTW, which bay area?

If in the SF bay area, PM me and I'll send you a message (when I get around to setting it up) for the next local meet up at reeds in Santa Clara. Most likely, the second Tuesday of February.
      Sorry, not sorry.

Dear autocorrect, I'm really getting tired of your shirt!

Sure they can, it's the internet! Lol
I can't take a class due to very low funds.

Low left hits are most often caused by yanking the trigger.

I think your right hand target is flipped about the vertical axis. Hitting low left is ALWAYS from yanking the trigger...... I have done it a thousand times.

First off +1000 on everyone suggesting taking a class or 2. You'll get a much more accurate critique in person than you can from the internet.

That said, I see 2 things just from your self description. 1, the pad of your finger, not the joint is what should be pressing the trigger.

2, slow down. 1 shot per second is way too fast if you're still working on the basics. Get your shots where you want them first. Then work on speed. You've got a good overall grouping, so you're not too far off.

Want to improve your grouping? Forget the rapid fire (for now). Concentrate on EVERY SINGLE SHOT. When all 15 are within the level of accuracy you find acceptable, then you can work on a faster time.

How does the saying go? Slow is smooth . . . smooth is fast!

On my G19 I use the edge of the pad, not the joint...no way. Slow down a bit, rapid fire often equals poor results. One round per 4-5 seconds. Even pressure on right & left hand with a glock, tough to explain. Much easier talking a class, shows physical strengths & weaknesses. All in all, not bad grouping for 15 yards assuming your fairly new.

I forgot to mention I can already get all 15 shots in the red when I take my time, that's why I'm shooting fast. Like you guys said, start slow then go fast.

First two posts sum it up pretty well. There is NO POSSIBLE WAY for someone to fix your sight picture, grip, squeeze, etc. over the internet. Let me put it this way. I am a golfer. A good golfer. I carry a handicap index between 2 and 4 depending on the time of year. If you don't know anything about golf then let's just say that I don't suck. How did I get this good? Practice? Playing more? NOOOOOOO!

                              LESSONS!!

People I play with ask me all the time how did I get to this level of golf. How can they get as good as me or better. Is it just experience. Playing time? Natural ability? I tell them lessons. That is the best money you can spend as a golfer if you really want to enjoy a round of golf and be challenged.

SAME GOES WITH GUNS. If you desire to be proficient with your weapon you need to get lessons and learn the fundamentals and practice, practice, practice. Take some classes on the weekends. I guarantee that you will thoroughly enjoy the experience, learn something EVERY time you go, and improve your marksmanship every time you go.

                              Money well spent.

ETA: Nice groups at 15 yards sir.
