Oh did not realize this was for buyers only, just always daw videos of ppl going to SHOT, and having a ball, but I guess that makes sense, I am excited to see what new toys come out, afterwards.
I do wish at least one day of SHoT was open to the general public thoughComment

The vendors (the guys who pay for the show) might not like that. But maybe they would . . .Oh did not realize this was for buyers only, just always daw videos of ppl going to SHOT, and having a ball, but I guess that makes sense, I am excited to see what new toys come out, afterwards.

When I was in high tech I used to work the Ce-Bit show in Hannover, Germany, and one day of the show was open to the public. We hated that day. Usually the execs would leave town and let their underlings work the stands on that day.
On the other hand, one of the fastest growing firearms related "trade shows" in the country is the annual NRA Conference, and that is open to the public (NRA members, anyway). And I noticed the NRA took over the old Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show following the Reed Exhibitions debacle and is now calling it the Great American Outdoor Show, a nine-day extravaganza that is also open to the public.
So I wonder what a poll of the SHOT Show exhibitors would reveal about their feelings concerning a single day (Sunday, it's always so slow) that was open to the public?Originally posted by cockedandglockedGetting called a DOJ shill has become a rite of passage around here. there isn't a trade show still running in almost any industry that is still industry only. people have been weaseling their way into shot for years and it's really not to hard to do. it's the same with E3 and CES as well. my wife just told me her part time IT guy that works for mount diablo unified school district got free tickets to CES because he listed himself as an educator. he also wrote off the expenses as work related

It's getting harder to invite friends and such, they have started cracking down since Reed Exhibitions was fired.Originally posted by Killer Beeit's not only for buyers.. lots of folks wandering through are friends, buddy's, customers, relatives, etc.. I've been invited several times and my in laws even live in Henderson where I could stay but I just can't justify the time investment anymore..
if you do a little networking [next year maybe], you might get lucky and pick up a guest pass..Originally posted by cockedandglockedGetting called a DOJ shill has become a rite of passage around here.
