Buncha revolver info from the 2010 article. I know next to nothing about revolvers so can't help you much.

I'd be more afraid of the the guy with a singleshot and is a deadshot with it, then some gangbanger with a Glock 40-tay that believes shooting it sideways and spraying and praying is the proper form.

It's not the gun that makes it deadly, it's the man behind it.

I'm not saying it is based on a Python. Just that it is made with care and a lot of hand work like a Python. Pythons are not known for being able to take many thousands of full pressure 357 loads like MR73 or a Ruger.

I posted on this post how that claim is unsubstantiated on wikipedia.

Please post links that validates the MR73 is capable of handling many thousand full-pressure loads and the Python is not.

Thank you moderators, need to do a super clean up on the trolls and online commando's!

Back on topic, I love revolvers more than semi-autos. The feel of the past is a blast, evolutionary history is awesome. I respect everything gun related, intrigued by design, and engineering day by day, not really fond with the tactical yet but force to it due materialism and modernism.

That's not true, not everybody, go tread some forums on brand, caliber, or even holster debates. I'm advocating on the devils advocate people! They'll laugh at the 22LR or .25 ACP for HD, they are blinded by their Glocks, shiny Kimbers, custom CZ's, or whatever it'll be.... They are online commando's playing COD on CG forums, I see them on every thread =)

I have taken apart an MR73. It's MORE robust than a Python (which I have also taken apart).

The Python has one of the more finicky actions, quick to go out of time if used with heavy loads for an extended period. S&W actually makes a superior action IMO.

The MR73 took the S&W action, added roller bearings, adjustability, and made it far superior in terms of feel and user adjustment.
Why they didn't so it here (S&W)? Cost. It's a work of art, but expensive.

The only better stock action IMO is a Korth (Feel-wise, I have NOT taken apart a Korth in my lifetime yet).

                        Sounds badass.. do want!

                        This part is my favorite..
The revolver can be converted to 9mm Parabellum with a supplied replacement cylinder, however, 9 mm Parabellum IAW French law has the status of ammunition of war. Thus, from the early 1980s, production was limited to the versions in .357.
9mm is a "round of WAR", but 357 mag? your GTG

PS. A little scary on the trigger discipline.
That's why there were so many fewer ADs when revolvers were standard issue. A long trigger pull with 14# weight goes a long way to cancel out poor trigger discipline and stress taps.

Plus...look closely at the position / location of the shooter's MP5 muzzle. The fire selector appears to be at the 3 round burst position. Whether the operator fires only one round or two or three, his index finger is going to be feeling it as well as his partner right arm.

This is directed at the triiger discipline comment.

I am not seeing any major issue, i am on my tablet, but it looks like the guy on the left has his finger on the trigger guard. I do not see the fingertip of the MP5 guy so his is above. And the guy on the right looks like it is outside and separated likd a tea cup pinky.

Cancel that, i moved around and was able to zoom in, i see it now.
