The guy with the revolver on the left side of the photo seems to be left handed? Why would they not put him to the left of the point man so that he could naturally shoot around the point man's head, instead of through the back of it???

It looks like the guy in the middle with the MP5 has a flashlight mounted to the top of the rifle.... Does anyone else see that or is it just a small red dot?

Not a flash light. It has anti-reflective mesh on the front of the sight.

That "red dot" looks more like a laser device to me. Like he plans to hip fire or fire without having to shoulder and cheek weld the rifle by using a visible laser instead. Not exactly the sort of thing you would expect.

Are we sure this isn't some kind of publicity photo? A lot of what I see in the picture is more cool factor than practical. These guys might not even be real cops participating in the real search, but rather some publicity photo the news staffers dug up from their archives.

military members probably talk more crap than anyone about other military units, so we might not all be "keyboard commandos".

1. Magazine capacity
2. Easier to clean

Reloading almost 3 times more rounds faster is also a nice advantage.
