    Background check

Has anyone heard when or even if the 10 day waiting period is going to go away like they said it would?

There is nothing in the works to simply make the 10-day waiting period go away.

There is a current case (Silvester v Harris) in federal court which would do away with the 10 day period in cases where the purchaser already possesses a firearm. The plaintiff won the first round and the Attorney General is in the process of appealing.

Please check out the Silvester v Harris thread for more information as it becomes available.

If you build a man a fire, you'll keep him warm for the evening. If you set a man on fire, you'll keep him warm for the rest of his life.

You're forgetting about the court order that Harris is giving the finger to. There was only a 6 month stay given and the Judge already chewed her out for making excuses.
