What my handguns tell me

I'm American too, but if I want a gun that screams "AMERICA!" when I shoot, it would be a S&W revolver. 1911's don't really interest me, but they are nice. I guess there are too many manufactures making 1911's. But which 1911 do you recommend?

Actually, I was the same way. My first two pistols were a G21 and a USP45, but then I came to my senses.

Everyone needs at least one Ol' Slabsides in the safe.

There was a time where I wasn't very interested in 1911 patterns even though I liked revolvers. As I got older I realized that the 1911 pattern can actually be quite excellent.

Two of your four pistols already had to be modified to be Ca legal (threaded barrels) what's the big deal with a Ca compliant rifle? Just sayin'. Nice choice of guns btw.

My two firearms that came with threaded barrels did not lose their threads; they were untouched/unmodified. I just bought and use the replacement barrels I have. I still have the originals.

I just feel a semi-auto carbine needs to have a bigger capacity and needs a standard magazine release.

Your German pistols are fine weapons, however, a fine American made 1911, is a Classic Masterpiece of craftsmanship
