The Winchester Traacker shotshell's wad is special, in that it has some birdshots that sticks to it so that the wad follows the same flight path as the birdshots. These are designed as an aid to instructors, to provide a visual clue where the shooter's shot went.

I think these wads will hurt you really bad if you get hit by them.

I think its safe to say that about anything including a plastic wad moving at about 1200+/- feet per second has the potential of causing significant injury or death depending on where you are hit. I'm sure they will penetrate wall board to some degree.
