Israel is in the 1.x range...they are always low.

Another interesting thing to consider is that the vast majority of the firearms in the Swiss homes are SIG 55x's...evil evil guns

Very few countries have good data collection, and most have differing definitions of crimes. 'Murder' is the least complicated, usually, but the definitions make comparisons of other crimes invalid.

And, of course, those numbers do not separate with-gun and without-gun murders, so the effect (or lack of same) of gun bans cannot be determined.

So, where's the source link, and what year is this from?

Many of them have very strict restrictions, but the "100% gun bans" thing is most certainly false. The truth is already on our side without having to make false statements like the above, and doing so only hurts our cause.

Puerto Rico also has pretty strict gun control in place.

The FBI also used to have a weird data collection policy that got a lot of lawful killings, and accidents, counted as murders. Don't know if they changed it since I last heard about it (10 years ago).

Big misconception. The Swiss had a shooting and the cracked down. Im pertty sure that they have local armories now and every single round is accounted for. You cant just go out plinking and if a single round goes un accounted for you are screwed.

                      Baisically they have insane regulations.

I lost that gun debate at a hostel in turkey when a guy who happened to be from Switzerland chimed in. He ranks their success with their access to education.

Hmm maybe they have gun bans because of all the murders? Just wondering, plus I am pretty sure it's easy for anyone to get a gun in many of those countries despite whatever laws exist

Screw fact checking, just find a post on Facebook that supports your agenda and run with it half cocked.

I mean, a simple 5 second search would prove that your entire post is invalid.

In 2005 over 10% of households contained handguns, compared to 18% of U.S. households that contained handguns. In 2005 almost 29% of households in Switzerland contained firearms of some kind, compared to almost 43% in the US.
Cliffs: not even freaking close to 100% gun ownership, in fact less guns per person than us.

Government statistics for the year 2010 records 40 homicides involving firearms, out of the 53 cases of homicide in 2010.

The annual rate of homicide by any means per 100,000 population was 0.70, which is one of the lowest in the world. However, the annual rate of homicide by guns per 100,000 population was 0.52, which is higher than neighboring countries
When you post blatantly false statistics it makes all of us pro-gunners look bad. Please just do a minute of fact checking before you post.

Not weird - the FBI just uses the initial classification of a shooting as reported.

If, at some later date, an event is ruled justifiable, the stats are not modified.

But the number of justifiable shootings is usually around 400 annually, which is not a big change from about 11,000 others reported.
