Dodged a bullet just now.

So I'm supposed to take this really hot asian girl to the range tomorrow to shoot my .22 AR. I was just dry cycling it when all of a sudden, the bolt lost it's retention and the charging handle was loose and the bolt did not close. Popped it open and discovered that the spring detent broke off, and the spring was all over the place after coming off the spring guide rod.

Anyways, I pinched one end of the spring and got it working to the point that after repeated cycling everything was back to normal.

Luckily this didn't happen tomorrow or I'd be out a night with said girl.

I'm like a long lost son to her parents. Thats the only picture I'll be posting for good fellowship. I may take a few shots at the range as well though.

Edit: Just wanted to add, I understand how you'd feel, but I'm sure she wouldn't have a problem with it.

Assuming they are both 18+ (i.e. not minors), I think the wishes of the girls in question are most pertinent. I personally would not post a pic like that on the internet without getting prior permission.

bring a centerfire gun along, too.
otherwise it will be like, "your gun is fun, but look at all those other big guns that everyone else is shooting!"

perennial hits with the girls are 9mm carbines, .223 ARs, and 12gauge shotguns (whether they can handle it or not doesnt matter, every girl wants to pull that trigger. must be a freudian thing)
