Primary Arms features our own line of AR 15 and AK 47 parts, accessories, scopes, optics and red dot sights.

made in china but wtf, what isn't these days. Primary arms has a great reputation and great customer service from what I read. This is the optic Im going to put on all of my AKs once I start receiving my GI Bill housing allowance

complete 1 project before you start another

      get the aimpoint.

While i agree 2 guns is better than one, but finish the first gun before you move on to the next or youll end up like me with 15 project and so little money lol

Get the Aimpoint. However, I would opt to get the Aimpoint H1 since it is nearly identical to the Aimpoint T1. The only difference between the T1 and the H1 is that the T1 allows you to utilize night vision. Besides, you are looking at close to $900 for a T1 and the mount as opposed to like $700 for a H1 and the mount. And since night vision goggles are like $35k a pair and any night capable scopes are illegal in CA, you can save yourself some cash for that new Remington later down the line.

I am currently using the Aimpoint H1 Micro on my AR and I just love it. Trust me on this, you cannot go wrong with a quality pair of optics on your AR. In fact, I've even added an Aimpoint 3x magnifier and it makes a world of difference when it comes to shooting longer distances.

It's a respectable point, but the information is inaccurate.

          1. Aimpoint T1 with mount is $674 http://www.laruetactical.com/aimpoin...qd-mount-combo
The H1 is $626 http://www.laruetactical.com/aimpoin...m4-mount-combo but you can prob find it cheaper, especially if you want a lessor mount.

          2. The T1 also has higher water resistance than the H1, granted none of us spend much time swimming with it in this drought.

          3. NV goggles are not $35k, more around $9k, and passive NV is not illegal in CA, only magnified NV scopes and active NV. Good quality NV can be had for around 3k. There's a list around here somewhere, but I'm being lazy and don't want to search for you.

          4. A 3x magnifier is definitely good if you insist on running a red dot for long range, but if that's your intention then just get a quality scope. It will be lighter and more functional, imho. Otherwise, unmagnified red dots are certainly good enough out to 200 yards, even further if you practice/train. And to answer your question, No, I do not practice or train.

If you don't already own a shot gun, I'd say get the Rem 870 and practice with it.
Optics come and go, the 870 stays.

i already have a bad habit of starting a project and then starting another...and another...and another lol.

I am most likely going to go with the aimpoint T-1. i would do the H-1 but i don't like the white "AIMPOINT" on the side of the optic. the t-1 still has the lettering, but it is a lot more subdued.

I can get the aimpoint t-1 for 530 shipped plus a daniel defense mount for around 80 shipped. out the door ill be around 610.00

the Remington 870p was going to cost me about 635 out the door from Proforce. i may just go with the aimpoint and try to sneak a mossberg 500 or maverick 88 by the wife

That's what I thought and for a while I did. Fact of the matter is, especially at a regulated outdoor range, ar-15 can provide hours of fun, an 870 is going to be boring / start hurting after a while and isn't really meant as a clay pigeon gun.

The only benefit of a 870p is the parkerized finish, as 870 express' tend to rust a little if you dont clean them and wipe them down with oil before storing. Unless you're going to be training 10k+ rounds in your 870 a year, I don't really see a point of spending an extra 300 bux. You could buy 2 870s, or an 870 and a budget optic for the same price.

Then borrow one of these from someone (plumber friend?) and cut the barrel down to 18"+ and you have a custom HD scattergun that is cheaper and better than any express model.

Ended up going with a aimpoint pro from Optics planet. Their 12 percent off Black Friday code still worked plus I had 35 bucks in my PayPal account. Ended up coming out to 330 shipped. That leaves me money to buy a mossberg
