How is ATF going to know if it is CA legal or not? They only deal with Federal laws and will not give an opinion on state laws. How would they know that you originally manufactured it to be roster exempt? How would they know if it complies with CA's AW laws?

Obviously, you already did your own homework on manufacturing a CA legal handgun, right? If so, just carry a copy of all applicable laws surrounding your firearm so that the officer in question can easily read them and even look them up for him/herself. Now, if you haven't done your own homework already, you shouldn't have manufactured your own firearm yet.

Thanks for the advise yes I have done my homework. I was gonna do that just print out the laws for an LE in case I was questioned

Don't take life so seriously. The first two posts were people answering his question directly and providing good advice. Sure, the rest of us could have gone on parroting what the first two posters said, but why? Teaching comes in many forms. Maybe we're simply cluing a fellow gun enthusiast in to the fact that if he improves his spelling and writing style he'll be taken more seriously. That's not a bad thing.
