ok, for that we hope that BATF did their due diligence and confirmed with CADOJ that a sig-braced AOW would be legal to have in CA, becuase federal law says that BATF can't approve any app that would violate CA law. however, a couple of have filed FOIA's with BATF to see if they actually did do that due diligence because it sure would be nice to have a document from CADOJ to BATF that states 100% that a sig brace is not illegal to use on a firearm in CA. so far, we don't have that and only have paperwork on the federal side that shows that it should be legal in CA.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Are we just looking for them to clarify using the sig brace as a "pseudo" stock? Because using the sig brace as a true forearm brace seems logically ok to me.

It's been months now, still no word? The response time for the FOIA request is glacial.

"we're backlogged" is what they tell us.

I have read on the NFA forums that there are people with 12-month old FOIA's that haven't been processed yet.

I have stopped being nice in my FOIA follow-up emails.

              They don't care.

the next step is to contact your congressman. that seems to help sometimes.
