I'd agree with this. I bought a few crates of 7.62-54R marked 1977 last year and never had an issue with any of it. I have 20ga reloads that I did 40 years ago at my uncles gun shop behind his house (I haven't reloaded since) still in my safe, 22LR and short from Montgomery Wards, Zodys, K-mart that my Dad bought in the 70's (shot up last year)

Whenever I buy Remington Golden Bullets I swear a lot. A whole lotta swearin'."Show me a young conservative and I'll show you a man without a heart. Show me an old liberal and I'll show you a man without a brain." - Sir Winston Churchill

I'm a fanboi for Nosler & Hornady bullets in pistol calibers.
PMC brass is a go-to brand. I like R-P brass for .452" lead bullets."He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion."

For plinking it's usually Tula or that brass Perfecta that appeared at Wal Mart recently. Been shooting a lot of the ZQ brand 5.56 also since it dropped to 30 cents per round.
I still yearn for the pre-Sandy Hook Winchester 100 rd boxes of 45 ACP for $29ish. Or those 15 rd value packs of 00 buck for $9 or $10 that disappeared around that time also.Comment

I had good luck with Remington 223 (green and white box). I hit bullseyes more than I was expecting. If I were just shooting at cans / actual plinking its probably all the same. I wouldn't use steelcase in a rifle though. So I wasnt sure if this was the right forum to post this topic, but I thought I could hear some of your guys input. As im new to everything... Ive only shot federal, winchester, and Remington
Ive personally never had any problem with these brands of ammo, but I was looking to purchase some decent ammo for plinking.
So far I have the 9mm wolf steelcase ammo, havent had a chance to shoot it yet, but Ive read terrible reviews on it... either way ill find out when I hit the range.
I was also thinking of purchasing the brass case .223 wolf ammo 500rds
Lmk what you guys think of the ammo, and what ammos you guys only use and swear by. Id love to gain knowledge from my fellow Calgunners. ThanksComment
