Had a guy agree to meet at specific time and place, never showed, never
pmd or anything else. Just saved all the PMs and took a digital photo of
all the correspondence on here, then posted the photo when the subject of
"flakes" in the marketplace showed up as a topic. Pete

I vote you let it go and move on. We don't have both sides of this story.

So wait a second, if somebody posts pics of his new rifle or gun or whatever and somebody says they don't like it that is thread crapping? Is this entire forum designed for folks to sit in a circle patting each other on the back and excluding any other honest opinions and comments about the purchase?
For example if someone buys a ruger 10-22 and puts an elcan or a night force beast on top are the only expectable responses "nice gun, cool rifle and the like?"

He lost gas money driving to the meeting location. He lost time that could have been used doing something else. Sounds like negative feedback to me, if it is not deserved a mod will step in and address it

The mods generally will step in and delete the negative given what the OP describes...seen it a bunch of times.

I too had made an agreement to purchase a fellow member's gun, when the day came to do the deal he stated that he no longer wanted to sell it. I was bummed out. I guess these things happen, a few days later he changed his post to "SOLD", I don't know what to think so I just chalked it up to a learning experience.

Albert, have you heard anything for the seller?

I agree with Bob, might as well let it go. Maybe keep an eye on the seller and make sure he doesn't do this to anybody else. He probably got a better offer at the last minute.

I left a negative after a seller flaked and got one in return for some reason.

I guess he felt I was a bad attempted customer.
