Anyone seen this $1200 mill from ghostgunner?

This is rediculous. Someones getting rich off of this and politicians are gonna clamp down harder on this. Idk how I feel about it. I love it but its just kindling for these ****tards.

The Ghost Gunner 3-S is fully open, fully programmable and can mill anything you want to make.

That's amazing! I want one. But I imagine more draconian legislation targeted at "building devices" such as these. Time will tell.

They strongly suggest Ares Armor lowers , I wonder if there will be fitment issues with other 80% lowers

But I imagine more draconian legislation targeted at "building devices" such as these. Time will tell.
Get one before the legislation duh

to add , i want to buy one eventually in hopes it will be able to process AR 10 80% lowers

Gonna be hard to legislate the hardware itself since it isn't fundamentally firearm related.

They COULD try to regulate software and programs, which will be as effective as telling people not to illegally trade music on the Internet

Hard to see anything but feel good legislation

Is this the box they were pitching in another thread for $400 a few months ago? If so, they missed their target price by quite a bit.

Edit: Here's the thread I was talking about.

$1200 for a desktop CNC machine seems like a great deal.

If you have 5 friends that all wanted 10 lowers done each might be feasible to get that thing.

I took CNC drafting back in college. It's child's play honestly.

I'm sure you can find blue print files online and just send the pre built prints into the machine and it's done.

Huh? blue print files. I don't believe anyone processes blue prints in this day and age. Mechanical drawings, now that's the standard. I can almost see stuffing a blue print into a machine. Ha

My wife, bless her heart, wants one. It will have to wait until the SSE madness is over.

But, on a side note, this is old news isn't it?

This story has been around for more than a month, FFS. Lots of threads on the subject (and news stories with date stamps) already exist.

Nope. The Ghost Gunner is produced by Defense Distributed -- think Cody Wilson, Liberator pistol, etc.

Gunsmith Dan's product (in the thread you linked) hasn't been released.
