That is absurd. If this passes it won't change anything except that all transactions will need to go through a FFL. Much to do about nothing. All these "the sky is falling" theories make us gun folks look crazy. It's just simply not true. Besides, being a ex-Californian he is already used to PPT.

Just the feeling in free states of laying yer .45 on the seat next to you- driving off and realizing that the free state you reside in does not consider law abiding honest citizens suspect and unworthy of living under the Constitution.

Not that it matters,but good bye California. After being born and raised in the central valley I am now officially a Washington state resident. Went to a couple gun shops up here and got excited looking at all that's available. One shop pulled out a Springfield box and asked me if I have ever seen this "Not legal in California" sticker. I said yes and he asked why. I told him and he just shook his head.

Washington is pretty awesome. My wife's family is originally from there and I loved it when I visited.

Yeah, thanks for thinking about a better place to raise a family, lower taxes, etc. The head of a family shouldn't cower and whine.

In a few more years there will be enough ex-Californians there to convert it to us. Then it will be California without sunshine.

OP dont mind the hate. Im moving to NV and man Ive been hearing it from guys on here. It seems SOME not all hate the fact that they are stuck here.

It was very hard for us to make a move. We have family ect here. But we had to put the future of our daughter first. Good luck your doing the right thing. Its a losing battle here. Gun owners cant even seem to get a long.

I don't think it's hate...more like jealously and feelings of inadequacy...zero guts and excuses..."I won't make enough money", "my kids are still in school", "my wife prefers her family to her marriage", ad nauseaum.

It isn't easy to move, but thinking of your wife and kids first is what you need to do. It's not a losing battle in California; the battle has been lost. The state is just playing cleanup now.

I don't know about that. We're not the ones leaving our homes to go live in a so-called "free state" just so we can have those things.

Welcome to Washington, you're going to like it here. I did 31 years in California on my second stay (in addition to 22 on my first). I was N/B on the 5 Freeway within minutes of my retirement.

There's plenty of sun in this state. You can surf and ski on the same day, and without driving as far as you would have to in California.

The folks on the western side of the state can be a little nutso politically (like California), but unlike California, we have a very large population, mostly east of the Cascade Mountains that keeps them in check.

The "Greater Los Angeles Area" has a population of over 18 million

Thats bigger than every state except Texas and New York

Add the "Bay Area" population of 8 Million to that, and even those states would be trumped, and we get "checkmated".

Our only hope is the court system, which is political as well, and Peruta the proof.

Good move! I feel that those who defend our second amendment rights in this state are fighting an eternal uphill battle. Kalifornistan is just too far gone. Looking to move to Oregon in the next couple years. I can't wait till the day when I s*** can the bullet buttons and grab some standard cap mags! Oh and apply for a suppressor! I'll be like a kid on Christmas.
