    You can use a cheap fish scale from walmart to get a rough idea where your at.

      I think my fish scale requires a constant pull that you would not have once the trigger breaks

          Using the Lyman gauge is awesome because it has the ability to average out up to 10 pulls. There can be quite a variance on some guns so this is a very helpful feature.
