I overpaid for there convertible 1-2 point SCAR bungee (over $150 with QD mount). http://www.tacticallink.com/SCAR_Con...gee_Sling.html
After shouldering only a few times this happened.

I'm not trying to be a drama queen on looks. That's not what concerned me. I can't imagine the sling lugs holding up to real use if that much material was removed from a couple of practice shoulderings. The MASH hook was tearing through it like cheese. It seems like in no time it would tear completely through.
It could be argued I should have known better than putting steel attachments on the SCARs aluminum lugs, but I had no idea that's what they were made out of. Here's the problem I had with TacticalLink.
Well after sending and email and multiple ignored posts on their Facebook page today I called. The guy sounded like someone who was caught red handed. He was stumbling with his words, umming and stalling. It was a relatively long conversation with me rewording the same questions different ways just to be sure I understood.
He he did not even offer a refund for returning the product for being unsatisfied with it. (Website claims 30 day money back unsatisfactory guarantee) Let alone replace the damage it caused. I asked him point blank, so you sell a product knowing that it will cause this damage when used exactly how you say to use it on exactly the same weapon, with no warning to customers, and assume no responsibility. No. All he said was FN dropped the ball and sucks for making a terrible mount so take it up with them.
He said he would make a note for his supervisor that maybe they should mention it on the site. That was it. He was very adamant on the thousands of law enforcement and military using this product happily with no problem. Right after he said this problem was normal and they knew it happens. Ok??
He couldn't even form a decent we'll constructed reply to most of my questions, other than, oh well, take it up with FN.
Just a heads up on this terrible customer service/company for anyone in the future thinking of making the same mistake I did and buying one of their products.
Oh yeah, forgot to mention halfway through the conversation he accidentally ratted himself out that he did see my pictures and email. Yet never replied.Whoops.
Had I known it was steel vs aluminum I wouldn't have mounted it unprotected, but I didn't know, and they didn't mention it. They specifically sell it for the SCAR and show it attached the same way I did, yet make no mention of this being an issue, yet acknowledge it is, but don't take responsibility.
Just my $0.02 and my experience. Take it for what it's worth, buy from them or don't. But even if they rectified the problem the customer service alone would have made me never want to purchase from them again.
