By the way to the OP I'd say an EXTAR EXP556.

Sure you have plenty of room on your 12. I on the other hand have no room to carry at 12. LOL

Last I checked no one knew for a fact, it was just "it could fall under CA law".. But no one had a case or letter to prove they are not CA legal.

Reason there is a ton in the AR pistol thread. Again unless I missed something recently.
Y'all both right, I twas mistaken: I do not believe it is on any books as specifically prohibited.

        BUT.

CA's own SBR laws could very, very easily label this an SBR.

I'm trying to not spread FUD, but I am repeating what others much wiser and smarter than I have said, like Lorax3, joefrank64k, and Bwiese.

I've carried an Arm Pistol very comfortably under a long jacket.

Could you just have an AR with the SB15 strapped to your arm and a bag over it? That would be concealed, right?

See, I wish I could get an arm brace so I could have a PAP-M92 as a vehicle/road trip/camping "pistol". Would be so cash.

Found this which is basically what I want, but I'd need a more inconspicuous case.

                This is what I meant

Im also fond of totally legal and registered Glock pistol carbines. Handy to have.

I remember some drug dealer carrying a folded Sub-2000 by kel tec in his saggy pants.

The 5.56 round really doesn't have a lot of stopping power. You should go with a pistol AR-10.

5.56 is a pretty sissy boy cartridge.

AK pistols are far superior, as always.

I have the advantage of being tactically fat so I can carry one of these and two 75 round drums wrapped in hamburger wrappers and nobody is the wiser

That's slick, but I'm getting 2k fps on 150 grain projectiles. For a pistol I'm satisfied!

*edit: grey area, AOW's seem to be the safest route here without possibly chancing having bubba be your next girlfriend
That is false. The AOW status has no bearing on giving arm brace legal status. The Foregrip is the the reason you get an AOW/SBR. If you put a foregrip on an AR pistol, you made an illegal "assault weapon."

The arm brace is an arm brace. It is legal under federal law, and the grey area in CA is if LEO, or the many DA's elect to arrest and charge law abiding citizens for shouldering it as most people already shoulder their buffer tubes.

Making it an AOW simply means that CA MAY have a harder time getting a conviction, because a photograph is sent in when you get your tax stamp, and CA follows federal guidelines on AOW. In other woods, AOW is exempt from certain AW gun laws in CA. But a sneaky DA could argue that shouldering the brace just made it into a URAW. Even if you win, it will cost a ton of money to fight it here in commiefornia. Reach out to Librarian to learn more.
