I've lived my whole life without (insert gun here). I've got to wait 10 days more. One more day isn't a big deal.
The law says may not release before 10 24 hour periods. Doesn't say must release at 241st hour.

Consider it a mark-up, just like the price you paid from buying at Bass Pro

I bought a rifle from Dick's once and they pulled the same crap on me. The only reason I bought from them was that they could order and receive a LH bolt-action rifle I wanted a lot sooner and cheaper than anyone else I had checked with.

our local gun shop has always done it. they give you their own paper that says the day you can pick up.if you leave the store not knowing the day you can pickup then thats on you.

Legally? Sure, as long as they are not reducing the wait period from 10 days to 9-. Same thing happened with my recently purchased rifle. Didn't bother me all that much.
That "high volume" excuse sounds like a load of BS. Adding 1 day to EVERYONE'S Dros would be unlikely to help, in my opinion (you'll still have the same number of people coming in, just on different days). They probably do it in case of any mistakes.

I can understand why any FFL in Cali would add at least one extra day !

Anyone recall the bs about Walmart not waiting 10 days ? Or Walmart selling to " drug dealers " ?

Make sense ? Hello Walmart gun seller, I'm a drug dealer and would like to pick up my gun a little early ! Walmart employee " why Yes Sir,here it is" !

Sheesh who would be dumb enough to believe a situation like that occurred ?

11 days huh ? People in this libtard state are lucky to even have any FFLs .
Yeah there I said it .

A lot of these big chain stores have ONE FFL license for all stores. That means one screw up by any employee anywhere could shut down firearms sales in every store. Combine that with the fact that they do a lot of business thereby increasing the odds for a single screw up, and higher employee turnover, and you get these kinds of CYA policies. Don't blame the store, blame the CA government for playing these waiting games with us.

Some smaller stores even do this. And some large chains like Sportsmans Warehouse tell you to pickup anytime after exactly 240 hours, so it isn't all large stores that do it. I would always ask to speak with a manager concerning the policy, many places will make exceptions.

that would be incorrect. I see 102 FFL licenses for Big5 in CA and 19 for Turners. There is one FFL for each location.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

Wow responses in all directions. I shoulda clarified I was only asking because I have a pick up at rifle gear on 21st n didn't wanna got to bass pro then to rifle gear after on same day. Was jus wondering if I did go on 20th "after" my 1pm pick up time if they would release it to me.

Wasn't really complaining bout having to wait an extra day. But thanks for the replies.
