my Sig 938 was total trash, but my X series Sigs have all been excellent and my Sig 220 Compact SAO (got it used) hasn't shot enough rounds for me to make an overall yay or nay with it.

Multiple Sig Sauer problems

None of my Sig firearms have ever had an issue. They were both made after Cohen came over too.

Just a heads up gentlemen, it may be just my "luck" but-
4 months ago I got brand new P226 stainless steel elite 9mm. First time to the range, factory new ammo only- failure to reset the trigger 3 times in less than 300 rounds. Gun all lubed with TW25.
Gun sent back to Sig, "upgraded reset spring installed".
A month ago a got brand new P229 stainless steel elite /I learn slow I guess
/. Last night she broke the extractor on the first round. Factory new ammo. Gun all lubed with TW25.
Gun is going back to Sig today.
The good of all this, I have the Sig representative phone number on a speed dial. I scan the SSE paperwork while we talk, he has my email, I reply back with the scanned papers, DONE! 30 seconds flat and I am ready to send the gun back. Proper training

Do I need to mention no more Sigs for me...
Wow! My story is starting to sound very similar to yours.
I recently purchased a 3" sp101 and sent it back to Ruger because the trigger would lock up during the decocking process. I'm sorry that they lost your revolver.
I recently SSE'd a P220 Carry Stainless Elite and a P229 Stainless Elite. They'll be home within the next couple months. Sorry that you're having problems with your Sigs. I'm wondering now if mine might have problems as well.
Being from California, I've been a little worried about the sigs from what I've been reading. Correct me if I'm wrong but from my understanding we can send these SSE's from California to Sig now and they'll fix it under warranty, but if they're unable to fix it, they'll replace it with a California approved one? I really wouldn't want mine replaced. Would they be able to return a broken firearm if that were the case, so that I can keep it and have another gunsmith fix it? Apologies if this info is somewhere else on the forum but I was unable to find it.
Once again, sorry about your bad luck. I may have the same curse as well!Comment

Sig can replace the frame only after a the owner's aproval. On a principles, I will never replace SS Elite for the California BS model.
Asked Sig representative to have the gunsmith fire 100 rounds trough the gun before the gun is shipped back to me. They agreed. The gun is on its way back to Sig.https://jpfo.org/articles-assd03/jew-without-gun.htm

Thanks for the reply.
It sucks that Sig can't replace California customers with our original purchases if they are off the list.
At least we have the option of receiving our original firearm back if we don't want it replaced. As I've read before, they weren't giving us this option some time back.
I agree. I would not take anything in place of the elites!
Hope to hear some good news when you get yours back. Good luck.Comment

5000 Rounds through sig P229 no problems, and have yet to find a gun that shoots better. Sorry to hear about your issues but I think you received a lemon.Comment
