It's actually just a polymer framed 229, and congrats on the purchase, it's a very underrated gun.

The SP2022 is a really nice gun. To me, it fits naturally in my hand, feels solid, and shoots great. It's a hidden gem. I ended getting both a 9mm and .40 S&W.

I'm fairly new to the hobby, (so, not really bias, yet) but I think that Sig makes excellently built handguns. I think they are worth their price. HK's seem over priced. Glocks, a bit over-priced, too. The feel of the polymer on the grip area seems like cheaply built plastic. That being said, I am looking to get a gen 4 Glock.

I let my girlfriend shoot my Glock 23 and my 2022 which is a 9mm thinking she would like the smaller 9mm and smoother trigger of the Sig but she actually said she liked the Glock better because the DA/SA was too unpredictable for her lol. I am a little more accurate with the Sig and it feels better in my hands but I still love my Glock, but I think I might like the Sig just a tad bit more...

I have both.. Te sig is extremely accurate and the DA/SA action is actually very safe for CCW..If you need to defend yourself, the first pull in DA, must me very deliberate. And subsequent shots are very smooth.Having sait that, my G19 is my GTW gun.I'm 99.99% confident that it will go BANG every time..
