Glock 19 Vs. Sig Sauer 2022

I have a Glock 23 and Glock 21sf and I want to add a 9mm to my collection. I'm torn between the Glock 19 and the Sig Sauer 2022, I really like Glock but I am open to other firearms especially Sigs...

since you have 2 glocks already, I would say mix it up a bit. but if you're looking at the 2022, you may not like the DA/SA trigger. if you do get one just make sure you put in time and train shooting in DA. if you'd rather not switch up the trigger, may want to consider a sig p320 in 9mm. with contrast sights prices is on par with a glock.

Order a 40-9 conversion barrel (from Lone Wolf, Storm Lake, KKM, Barsto, etc... pick your poison), for your G23 + a couple G19 magazines... and purchase the SIG instead. Two birds one stone.

Variety is the spice of life.

Glock is my preferred striker fired platform, and SIG Sauer is my preferred DA/SA btw.

Yea I was thinking about switching it up a bit and going with the DA/SA and I know Sig is a great brand but is this particular model(sp2022) a quality firearm from Sig or is it cheaply made? My understanding is its frame is polymer instead of alloy and thats the major difference between it and other Sig models...

Thanks I totally agree and I'm leaning a little toward the Sig at this point but I don't wanna cheat on my beloved Glocks with a Sig lol

What are the reasons for people getting rid of their SP2022's?

                        My 1.5 cents on this.

First off, own and shoot glocks in 9 & 40. Was looking at the 2022 earlier this year and a friend picked one up in 40. I spent an afternoon shooting it and decided to pass. Mainly because of the DA trigger. Probably need a lot more time on that platform but it was not natural for me. How they felt in my hand also was kinda bulky which also added to my dislike.

With that said, I do own several 92FS/m9 models and shoot DA fine with those even from the very first shot years ago.

2022 was not my cup of tea but it might be yours!
Do you know what happened 158 years ago this fall...back in 1850 ?

-California became a state, The people had no electricity, The state had no money, Almost everyone spoke Spanish, There were gunfights in the streets.
-So, basically, nothing has changed except the women had real breasts and the men didn't hold hands.

                          From personal experience with a G19 and a SP2022.
Owned a G19 for about a year and sold it. For me it did not feel right ergonomically. Other than that it was a very solid gun.

I bought a SP2022 about a year ago. I had 1 issue with it but from a bunch of research it was a fluke. I could not find anyone else that experienced that issue. The guide rod was bent a little causing it to not go into full battery every once in a while due to the spring rubbing on the guide rod. Replaced it with a stainless steel guide rod ($20) and it cycles so much smoother now.
Other than that, I love the SP2022. it feels perfect in my hand, and the trigger is butter smooth.

Hk vp9. I recently got mine and it shoots really nice. Very accurate and excellent trigger. Also, I really like the grip. Overall great pistol amd very well made.

Based on the two guns you mentioned I'd say get the glock 19. Much better gun imo
