Our Father, Who art in heaven,Hallowed be Thy Name;Thy kingdom come,Thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Before buying anything from Vulcan Arms you should watch this video
Vulcan Arms .50 Rifle fails imbeds bolt into shooters neck
If they can't even correctly manufacture a metal rifle what makes you think a polymer upper would not fail even worst. Polymer for a lower is on thing and a failure there would not be seriously life threatening should the upper fail you ARE in a world of hurt, as the shooter in the video learned unfortunately.
IN FACT
Here is a link with pictures showing a failure with one of their METAL uppers ...........
AR15 Vulcan Arms failure upper receiver split in two
just imagine what would happen with a polymer upper................
on top of all that they keep going bankrupt then open for business under a new company name so anyone that sues them gets nothing .... a very old trick used by fly by night companies.Last edited by Gunsmith Dan; 10-14-2014, 7:16 PM.Comment

Watch this video about Vulcan(aka Blackthorne, aka Heese, aka Velocity Arms) if you want a laugh about their *ahem* quality products.
Worst gun manufacturer in the US(the fact that they've changed their name 3 times might also be a clue).Last edited by Merc1138; 10-14-2014, 7:16 PM.Comment

Holy Jesus!!! I have never heard of this company until now.....
In a way I'm happy I hadn't but in a way I'm shocked I haven't seen this....
I could literally assemble/make a better rifle than that with the extra AR/Rem 870/WASR parts I have laying around my house..Comment

that video blew me away, do we have a thread of known guns to stay away from? If not can we get a sticky? is that possible?"The tyrant will always find a pretext for his tyranny."

Fortunately blackthorne/vulcan/heese is so well known for producing crappy products, that any amount of looking on google shows nothing but problems. Unfortunately it's not quite as well known yet that Velocity Arms is the same turd of a company. But even then, some people will ignore the 50,000 google results of blackthorne and problems just to try and save a buck, so a sticky thread wouldn't help them. It's like they think that the poor company is some underdog that's just been crapped on by the gun community for producing a cheap product that isn't on par with noveske or JP(or some other nonsense). Hell, you still see people buying $20 chinese optics all the time and then wondering why they have a problem.
Wanna see another quality blackthorne product? I present, the "chrome lined"(spray painted chamber) AR barrel: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=620836Last edited by Merc1138; 10-15-2014, 8:26 AM.Comment

Have these guys not been sued yet?
How can you sell firearms this horrible and not be charged with some kind of hazard to the buyers? They are selling gun looking pipe bombs.Comment

They probably have been, and it's likely part of the reason for the name changes. Apparently at one point the velocity arms website had a fake address listed(came up as a diner or something), and now they have no address listed.Comment

Yes unfortunately when you incorporate a business only the business entity can be sued not the person unless you can find criminal negligence.
So how the fly by night people do it is .......
Start a business and incorporate it and when you get a major lawsuit you declare bankruptcy and close the business and the lawsuit becomes void.
Then you start another business in the same fashion and repeat and rinse.
So as long as none of people who are on the board of the company has any debt with any vendors and did not sign any personal guarantees of credit, they can bankrupt a incorporated entity as many times as you like without affecting your personal credit history.
As far as proving criminal negligence unless you find paperwork or a recording of the owners stating they know their products are unsafe and to sell them anyways it will be hard to prosecute. Unfortunately in the U.S. being stupid and incompetent is not against the law.Comment
