        IMO...
Before you go out and buy another stock for your SKS, get some stripper clips.

just maybe his SKS is nicer than some of the chinese SKSs for sale right now. most norinco SKSs are in much better condition than these chinese albanian left overs. with a proper stock he could sell it for over 500 . just not here.

Note that the sino-chinese SKS are C&R.
What he has is not C&R. Which accounts for why non-C&R Chinese SKS sell in the $250-350 range in the rest of the USA.

Whats the difference between this Chinese Sks and a C&R Sino Sks?

These rifles include a 10 round box magazine, and spike type folding bayonet. Well used and will show their history but highly functional and very cool! These are military turn-ins, so expect some battle scars. They are stored in heavy cosmoline. C&R sks are also in that range.

Ones C&R and other is not.

The C&R one can have a bayonet on it.
The other one needs to comply with the Fed 922r parts compliance, in order to legally attach a bayonet on it.

$250 someplace in Cali that I don't have to pay a FFL to import it. If yes; please share as I could use one.

If you aren't 03 then you'd have to use a dealer. Know a friendly table top ffl by chance?

Matt if you did not do this deal at a gun shop please do not now nor ever admit to it on this site or any other.
                        LOL...

The reason I asked was simply this. When doing the DROS the make and model of rifle would be listed, So that information would have been available to the OP.

But I guess your cop hating troll mind just can't comprehend that.

As the OP stated he did legally transfer the firearm. Guess you failed to read his follow up post.

Even if OP picked up a classic sks he would have to pay shipping, tax, transfer fee, and dros so his price isn't that out of line. Of course I'm not considering the stock and bayo replacement.

To the OP, falcon punch your friend twice. Once for telling you it's an AK, and second for the stock.

Exactly. Guy knows nothing about guns obviously, comes to this site for help, and someone starts publicly trying to get him to admit he broke the law. Could have sent pm's but as usual the superiority mentality of our local police comes out to stick it to him. Obviously OP knows nothing. Ignorance is no defense, but others ignorance is not a good reason to be a dick

Op, if you use gunbroker as your guide the cheapest norinco is around $300.00 while the most expensive is $1,000.00

I would say yours with no box, wood stock or any of the other accoutrements that come with it, yours would sell for around $300.00

Why is someone calling you out when you start your investigation a cop hating troll? Isn't that standard for a person in the police profession? "Do you know why I pulled you over?" That should tell you everything you are, you didn't try to help, you opened your investigation. Helping would have been helping, investigating is what you tried to do. Don't be shy, it is in your blood and you did it for ???? many years, it comes natural for you.
