Interesting idea but exactly how many lowers would one person ever conceivably build for themselves to justify the up front cost.

Can't sell the ones you make and loaning the machine to others opens up the whole "machine shop" issue right?

On Edit: I just saw the post above mine regarding selling machine when done and that makes sense.

Why can't this be rented out? And you can sell the rifles but they have to be serialized and drosed no?
WTB Springfield Armory 1911-A1 Stainless Steel and Black bought a Kimber Stainless instead baby.

Not sure but to sell the rifles might require a manufacturer's FFL.

Anyone know if this can be used for AR-10 lowers or even 1911s?

Once the .dd files are available, yes. Plus anything else you can convert into a .dd file.

                    But not yet.

After you own it you can sell the tool to friend for $100. After he's tired of it you can buy it back for $50.

you could even prep a simple bill of sale (BOS) and then have them notarized for $10 at your local Credit Union (because I know you guys dont use one of the big banks)

I'll wait for the reviews. Looks like a pretty sweet little unit.

California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.

Its just a small arduino based CNC mill so I expect this unit can do a lot more than just complete 80% lowers.
