    "Cocked" 1911 pictures.

Why does nearly every single person that takes a picture of their 1911 feel the need to have the hammer back?? Probably just my ocd but it bugs the tihs out of me. Am I the only person that notices this? Not bashing 1911s, I own some. But....come on kali kommandos...just show us your relaxed 1911. Sorry if Im off base. Carry on.

Because a normal 1911 isn't a double action handgun, nor does it have a de-cocker?

I understand that. I carry cocked and locked. You dont see people taking pictures of their super blackhawks with the hammer back. Its guys with 1911s. Every time!!

          You're assuming they're all unloaded?

Cocked and locked is the safe way to carry a 1911.

I guess it only bothers me. Im assuming that when/if someone takes a picture of their gun,it is unloaded. Especially with the guys that have stuff jammed through the trigger gaurd. Ok. I guess Im out of line. I will still always carry "cocked and locked". Just no pics.

Why the eff does it matter? And why would you post a dam thread about it?

Most of the time when I take pictures of my guns they're unloaded. That's usually because they're about to go in the safe and the only gun I keep loaded is my bedside one.

Well if I did unload a 1911 and shove something through the trigger guard(seriously, wtf is with that) to take a picture, there isn't some specific need to thumb the hammer down is there?
