Life Is Not About Waiting For The Storm To Pass - Its About Learning To Dance In The Rain.
Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728). -
By this i meant i called themComment

this is just a wild guess but if it was a legitimate call maybe there's someone with your exact name that has a criminal background, is a super spy or man of mystery.
Wait! ... is your name Mr Hamburglar?
they've been looking for him for a long time.
;-)
or do you have a common name?
even if you do, I don't like the stuff they make us go through just to exercise our rights that we're born with.Comment

I got a call from DOJ a few weeks ago after I sent in an intrafamilial transfer. I forgot to put the date I aquired the firearms from my father, and they called to ask the date of possession. Number wasn't restricted though. I don't answer blocked or restricted numbers.Comment

they do have a MO of using voice calls to do things they shouldn't be doing... re: to keep it out of writing.Comment

Yea, that's someone trying to ID theft/scam you. Don't give them anything at all. The restricted # coming up should be a red flag.Originally posted by DRHI think Claire Wolf said it best as "America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards."Originally posted by KestryllSeriously??
Have you looked around?

Security is strange, its only one way with bureaucrats.
I got a call from my Credit Card Company they were investigating fraud and wanted me to confirm my information. I said hell no, I have no idea who I am talking to on the other end of the phone line but that I would call them back on their public line and speak with their fraud department.
After calling them, it was a large data breach, and they issued a new card.
I never volunteer any information to anyone over the Telephone unless I initiate the call to their public number, so I have some sense that I am talking to a valid person and not a scammer.
If it was DOJ you should have been given an extension number and been able to call their public number, after you verified it was a legit call, given the information requested."The California matrix of gun control laws is among the harshest in the nation and are filled with criminal law traps for people of common intelligence who desire to obey the law." - U.S. District Judge Roger T. BenitezComment

DOJ and ATF called a buddy of mine because he had sooo many firearms purchases in a 30 day period.
They asked him why he bought so many firearms, to which he retorted, "none of your damn business and promptly hung up."When the system breaks down, you get to vote from the rooftops. Its one of the last best traditions of western enlightenment"
"This was an IQ test/science experiment of Josef Mengele proportions, and the public willingly lapped it up. And many failed". (me, on Wuhan flu, 2022)
Question EVERYTHING.
"Sure buddy. Whatever you say. Whatever you gotta tell yourself to sleep at night"Comment
