Hit the range with a buddy of mine this morning. He went through 200 rounds of 9mm, 250 rounds of .223, 75 rounds of .45, and a handful of .22 in less than 2.5 hours.
I managed to shoot 100 rounds of 9mm, 100 rounds of .223, and about 170 rounds of .22 in 4 hours. I've always been big on conserving ammo, while not hoarding it. So, I usually do the following:
-Take out the bolt guns over my semi-autos
-Only bring 1 magazine per gun (I own plenty, but never bring more than 1)
-Pick up brass after every magazine
-Check my target frequently
-Work on form, stance, etc.
In combination, this saves me ammo.
I am curious though...how fast to do guys, and gals, blow through ammo?
