The 2 ccw holders had balls of steel and saved a lot of lives. They were so far forward of all the police forces (a few police were with them but retreated when one was shot). I dont think I'd willingly go against rifles with pistols, but they did.

True that. Those dudes were hardcore. I actually didn't know about the police part but that makes what the Civilians did so much more honorable.

I love the smug that arm chair experts throw into their assumptive comments. You read a couple of sentences and go right to "I got this".

I'm Pro-gun, Pro-carry, and have helped people in harm's way.

I watched an early screening of the documentary listened to an interview with the Director, and like most, followed the story when it was happening.


Here's knowledge that what was reinforced:

1. If at all possible, avoid terrorist-ridden third world countries.
2. A CCW handgun is very limited (ammo) against a well armed assault.
3. In this situation, you can only defend a small area for a short time.
5. There will always be people who will stand against overwhelming odds.
6. When defending an escape, provide covering fire.
7. An empty weapon cannot provide covering fire.
8. A dead defender is very limited in his ability to execute his task.



Here's what I learned:

Better to die on your feet fighting, than on your knees cowering.

In a situation like that where there's no good choices, I think I'd take a chance fighting the good fight.

I watched it last night.....very upsetting that as dozens were being killed or bleeding to death the military and swat teams stood around outside for 3.5 hours while civilians and some off duty cops went straight into harms way. Hell a couple of them were shot BY the military when they finally did go in. Victims in hiding said when the soldiers finally came in they were shooting at ANYTHING that moved. Crazy.

Damn, that was HORRIBLE to see!!! Over 60 people killed including 4 Pregnant Woman..... Why in the F*&K was their Gov & "Swat Team" (IF you want to call them that?? ) just sitting on their Azz's while folks inside were being EXECUTED?!?!?

Wow! Don't be butt hurt! :P I was just suggesting you might learn something from watching it. Its my opinion CCW's helped ward off(push back) terrorists and save lives. If you feel differently i respect that.

Amazing how many subject experts and "know it alls" are here, waiting to pounce on people.

The risk is not zero, but it very likely is NOT anywhere close to being as high as some of these "analysts" want you to believe. It's important to know that; otherwise, it's all too easy to believe things as patently untrue as, oh, let's see...Saddam was behind 9/11, for example.

Point well taken Sir, However, With our Boarder (or lack there of) situation now days, I would not be a bit surprised if there are far more of them (ISIS/Radicals) already here then some folks might believe.

I'm just very Happy to see far more "Good Guy's" being able to Carry than in years past. I just Hope, if the time ever comes (God, Please Forbid) that the same "Good Guy(s)" didn't decide to not Carry that day for whatever reason! For all I know it may be my Family or loved ones life they might be Protecting/Saving, and Vise Verses.
