I never put stickers on my vehicle. I put them on magnet material and THEN put them on my vehicle. That way if the SHTF, I can change them out with KQED and COEXIST magnets and appear to be a sheep like the rest of the morons out there.

I have had stickers for years on my cars. I live and work in the SF bay area and never had issues with LEO or vandals. Most response is positive, like 95%. It opens up dialogue sometimes. I also wear pro gun tee shirts.

Just saw an SUV with CMMG and a bunch of other gun stuff stickers driven by an obviously "alternative" type and yet no NRA sticker. Was about to get out of the car to explain why they need to join and put up an NRA sticker but the traffic was suddenly clear and the opportunity passed.

If you are going to put stickers for the love of Pete put an NRA sticker, too.

OP. get some page size car magnets and put the stickers on the magnet, trim, then place on your car. That way if you do get extra scrutiny, they can be easily removed. Or, get some removable plastic window decal sheets, scan the stickers onto the sheets and place them on your car.

              I don't fear heights, but I don't stand at the edge of a cliff/building.

There is a big difference between fear and being prudent.

I don't fear putting a gun related bumper sticker on my vehicle, but prefer not to do so. Not just because of the possibility that I may get hassled by the law or profiled by criminals, but because I don't care for the look.

I like the idea of a Lewis Machine Tool sticker. Anti LEOs and Shiite heads never heard of LMT.

Just curious; do you have a big sign in front of your house advertising that you are a proud gun owner? Or are you being prudent by not broadcasting to the world that there are highly desirable valuables inside?
Of course not. I do proudly wave a Gadsden flag though. I also live in an area where I don't really have neighbors. Not a lot of people out in my area.

Anyone have any actual stats on whether gun stickers make you more or less likely to be broken into?

I can make an argument for both.

I've always been tempted to put an odd mix of stickers on my cars. NRA, KQED/NPR, Pro-Life, Obama 2008, etc. It'd be amusing to see someone trying to figure that **** out.

Depends on how many guns you have and how valuable they are. I don't advertise I own guns any more than I advertise that I own art or jewelry.

A pro-2A sticker would be screaming that I own guns as much as it would show my support for the 2A.

Can't say that I've ever heard of such a study, but I still don't see how advertising that there are thousands of dollars worth of guns and related crap sitting at my home while no one is there all day. It's the same reason I don't advertise my HT system, gaming computer, or any other expensive crap in a way that people can easily tie it to my address. I don't even own much in the way of firearms compared to some people on this forum, yet there are people who have more invested in just optics than some people have cash tied up in their entire gun collection.
