People living across Highway62 complained the races were too noisy, so they've had noise regs for over 30 years. How did they manage to keep a range open??? Is the range near the road that goes straight west from the track to the base housing?

I've been turned away from Laguna SECA for my exhaust being too loud. It was a PITA.

Luckily my buddy had a quiter exhaust I could throw on so I can run the course.

Golf balls from the laguna seca golf course land in my yard all the time and iam pretty sure some have hit the roof and side of my house. Dose this mean if I show someone two golf balls they will shut down the golf course until Happy Gilmore will come out to investigate if he can actually hit the house?

I love when people move next door to a range, airport, etc. then complain.
They*KNEW* where they were moving to. It was disclosed by the real estate agent and had to be disclosed by law.

          Now they don't like it.
Chabot Gun Club is another one.

Well--I know what you're saying, and I agree. But in this case the racetrack was there many years before the public shooting range.

I was hoping someone that worked there would chime in here.

I think it hard to believe "rounds where hitting" near people at the track. Like others have said you would have to lob them in like mortars.

I think it is just a setup with the intent of closing the range.

Sucks as I have a new rifle I want to practice with and cannot.

That whole area was a range in the 70's; Fort Ord; ranges at the beach, in the woods, and tactical courses. So what's the problem?

When was this? From what I was told, by a resident from Salinas. And this was a couple of years ago. The shooting range at LS is close whenever there's a race. That was the arrangement because of bullets from the range, finding its way at the race track.

Just waiting for the NRA survey team. What is good, in a manner, is they also closed the police range. I'd be more worried if they only closed the public range.

From what I've heard is that the range should be opening up on or around the 1st of December.
