    Examples of an AD???????

    What would cause this????

Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT

I'm not a pistol expert but it seems similar to what happens with some rifles when the sear and the disconnector do not properly engage/disengage.

IMHO Someone intentionally modifying the internals to make the weapon unsafe, possibly with the intent of making all handguns look unsafe .

Agreed. The same thing was happening with Remington and every reported incident of an AD due to the rifle was linked back to having a poorly installed/unsafe aftermarket trigger or a disabled safety.

A prime example of a hairy trigger

Not the worst I have seen though once had a cheap polymer frame pistol come to the shop. The frame was pure plastic with no metal inserts and all you had to do is squeeze the grip with normal pressure (as you would to fire it) and it would go off.

It is absolutely NOT an accidental discharge. It is most definitely a mechanical defect with the gun. Exactly what would have to be determined by a qualified gunsmith.

I don't think I would classify this as an accidental discharge...this is more a weapon defect rendering it unsafe.

there is no such thing as an accidental discharge- unintended discharge of a firearm can always be attributed to either negligence or defect/malfunction.

in this case, considering the video and it's title, we see intentional malfunction.

Ironically, mechanical defects or malfunctions are almost always caused by negligence of the owner

And negligence makes it an accident. Stop trying to mince words when you aren't even correct.

It looks very intentional to me.
