Sorry man, I don't understand what you're asking. The reticle is composed of tons of little dots so it's going to be more pronounced under magnification. And you're correct, the outer circle covers 65 inches at 100 yds, with or without the magnifier.

Question about eotech magnifier, please help

Yeah. That's it.
I just got an idea, I will place it in front of my AimPoint Comp and see if it's useful for a red dot.
Since the dot is 1 MOA, the magnifier will probably work out.
Thank you for your patience SS.sigpic

BTW, the AimPoint dots are even larger, ranging from 2MOA to 4MOA. So, you're probably not going to like how large and distorted those dots become under magnification.
I also hope that you know that the EOTech's 65MOA dot is really for close quarters use so under magnification, you should be using the 1MOA dot or bullet drop dots, if you have that model.Comment

I'm not sure what you are saying either.
In the EOTech, there is a 1 MOA dot in the center of the 65 MOA ring...are you saying you only have the ring appearing on your screen?
The 1 MOA dot is for fine work and the 65 MOA ring is for faster alignment on a closer target...the ring also has pips at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions for compensated shots...because the journey is the worthier part...The Shepherd's TaleComment

Hmmm.. that looks like the EXPS 2-0. The reason why I mention it is that it has an integral riser. You'll need to put the riser on your magnifier too and your pic looks like your magnifier is bumping up against your BUIS. I think that's the earlier EOTech magnifier, the G23. Did you put the riser underneath it?Comment

I checked my cheek weld and I have to put my nose right against the charging handle but somehow about 1 1/2 inch behind the ocular lens. It's not comfortable/repeatable for me personally.
Adding a chee riser may prevent you from seeing thru BUIS.
Training back in 1987 with the M16A2 (standard carrying handle iron sights), you placed your nose on the charging handle to maintain the same sight picture every time. I don't know if it's the same method with the M4's and the ACOG.
I prefer having the holo sight midway. I think it's generally referred to as the "scout" rifle placement.sigpic

No, there's a 7mm riser that comes with the G23 magnifier. If you use an XPS 2-0 EOTech, you don't need the riser. If you use an EXPS, you need to use the riser. Otherwise, the magnifier will sit too low to align with the EOTech window. Make sense?Comment

So I think I figured it out. I had my Magpul rear sight flipped wrong so the flip was on the side closest to me. so I ran out of rail when it was the other way.
after flipping it around and moving the magnifier up one spot I can clear everything. I don't have a solid rail across the top and theres a gap so I can't move the EXPS3-0 out anymore so my upper rail is kind of cluttered now. but at least I can clear my magnifier and I have my iron sights and red dot and magnifier all at the same time nowLast edited by Matt_yz125; 09-08-2014, 10:39 PM.Comment

From my Sport Optics receipt:
EOTech Gen II 3X Magnifier & Mount - Tan
3X Magnifier w/ Flip-To-Side Mount & 7mm Riser
The riser is an ARMS mount. Maybe Eotech used ARMS or maybe the retailer put the 2 together.
The holo sight is an EXPS3-0 integrated QD lever. I still have the case with the info.
The reticle is a circle and dot.
Beyond that, I'm not knowledgeable.
Yeah the bottom of the magnifier is right on top of the BUIS with a paper width of clearance.
After reading your response I moved the sight forward, away from the magnifier and it didn't have a negative effect on the co-witness or reticle.
The magnifier is lower than the center of the sight. I took it off, raised it up towards center with my hand and it doesn't make much difference - as fas as I can tell without going to the range. The reticle just appears to be maybe 3-5 mm low.

My G23 came with the 7mm ARMS riser as well. it clears my Magpul rear sight by a lot, you can see it in the photo. From my Sport Optics receipt:
