A lot of cities have that as an ordinance. Nothing new, I've seen it for years in certain cities.

Turners recording personal information for powder purchases?

        sorry if this a dupe.

i was told yesterday from a turners employee that ALL turners locations are recording your DL or ID information and amount purchased for gun powder and black powder purchases.

I think it's a new BS bill in certain areas to record powder records/sales.

I'm not sure I just saw a few threads of people talking about it.

In all honestly I think it has more to do with people creating a bomb of some sort than reloading. That being said Turner's have always been boot lickers in my opinion, yes I sometimes shop there when they have decent prices on ammo when Big 5 and Walmart is out.

If you buy 21 pounds of powder or more, you need to get a permit from the Fire Marshal. That's gonna take a lot more than just recording your personal information.

They can only take it if you give it.

San Diego used to have a log. Not sure if they still do. I had to fill out the log about 10 years ago when buying gun powder at the Del Mar gun show.

                            Purchasing smokeless powder in California

Just go and purchase your powder at the gun show.

                            1. It is cheaper, (no HAZMAT fees)
                            2. There are no logs or records to sign
                            3. The prices are generally better than at your CA LGS

This is what currently do. The Miwall Corporation sells a lot of components at the SF Crossroads gun show.

FIFY. Walmart can sell ammo in Alameda County. They just need to grow a pair of balls.
