    As I understand it the kids should be able to take ownership of the rifles same as if grandpa handed them over since it's an inheritance. Minor children are exempt from registration of long guns since the new law applies to adults and inheritance has no FFL requirement. Handguns would have to be transferred to the Father until the children turn 18. That attorney is making this complicated for his own personal gain.
